The following is a series of patient information leaflets produced by optometrists. They were based on existing fact sheets as well as information from other sources such as RNIB and Diabetes UK.

PDF files are a universal means of supplying documents electronically and it is the only format that guarantees that the final product looks the same regardless of the computer system. Many programmes have manuals in PDF format on their CD and it is the Department of Health's document format of choice. Many HSC's (and the old FPN's) are available in PDF format from the Department of Health's web site.
Printing tips
The above documents are available as an A4 page or an A5 (folded A4) leaflet. The A5 version should be printed on both sides of A4 size paper by printing side one, and then turning the paper over and feeding back into the printer for the second side. This can then be folded to produce an A5 leaflet. The A4 version is identical in wording and can either be printed double sided or on two sheets.
When printing, switching off the "fit to page" option in the printer dialogue may give a better layout.
